- M.Sc (Ag.) with specialization in Soil Science/ Agronomy/ Meteorology/ Agriculture Physics/ Plant Physiology with 4 - 5 years Bachelor's degree. OR
- Candidate having Post Graduate degree in Botany/ Life Science/ Geology/ Geography/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geoinformatics with 3 years of Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualifications with 2 years of research experience. OR
- P.hD in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Plant Breeding/ Life Science/ Earth Science/ Geology/ Geography/ Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geoinformatics.
